PEEKAY HOLDS 6TH ANNUAL "PAJAMA PARTY"

True to their company Mission; Peekay had their 6th annual PJ Party Assisting women and children of domestic violence. Employees, managers and staff worked side by side assembling beautiful gift bags containing: pajamas, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotions, shampoos, floss, panties, combs, conditioners, jewelry, and other miscellaneous items. These items are the result of items purchased by the company and donations brought forth from employees.

PJ Party"All the work is volunteered by the great people who work together here at Peekay, which make us the great, dynamic company that we are....We started out doing about 12 bags", says Founder, Phyllis Heppenstall "and word began to spread and the need is ever so present". This year we were fortunate enough to be able to assemble and donate "120 Pajama Bags including necessities and toiletries."

"This adds a great gift for women; who usually have no one else to buy for them or to think of them for the holidays”, says Kris Butt, the partner/daughter of the Founder, Phyllis Heppenstall which make up the dynamic mother & daughter team. Working with local shelters is a necessity as many are struggling especially during the holiday time.

In addition, Peekay adopted 2 families, a new mother with a 2 month old baby boy that had literally "nothing," and a mother and 7 children. In addition, on their own Peekay's employees donated 16 gifts to the needy via the Auburn Giving Tree and gathered over 150 lbs of non perishable food for their corporate holiday food drive which was donated it to Auburn Food Bank.

"We always believe in "giving back" into the communities in which we work, live and play. It's just part of our fabric, part of who we are. We also take on the delivery and distribution task of the pajama gift bags to the agencies listed below. Making sure all deliveries happen in time for Christmas,” says Founder, Phyllis Heppenstall
